In a major milestone for privacy and accessibility, Veil Cash now supports onchain verified users via Coinbase’s Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS). This update makes it possible for over 500,000 users who have completed Coinbase’s onchain verification process to seamlessly access Veil’s verified pools.
Coinbase’s onchain verification leverages Ethereum-based attestations to link a self-custodial wallet with a verified Coinbase account. This ensures that the wallet belongs to a legitimate and verified user with Coinbase.
With this update, Veil Cash taps into the EAS contracts deployed on Base to confirm a user’s verified status. Once verified, users gain access to Veil’s privacy pools. Connect a verified wallet and the Veil front end will allow you to deposit.
By leveraging Coinbase’s robust verification system, Veil Cash ensures that only trusted users can access its privacy pools. This trust layer reduces the risk of misuse while empowering a broad base of users to enjoy the protocol’s anonymity features.
